Exchange Programs in the Territory with other organisations have been set up.  Currently these are with the Royal Hospital for Women's (Melbourne), Defence Forces and Sanglar Hospital (Bali).  These programs provide great opportunities for working and learning together.

Katharina Voit has now been in Darwin for 12 months to complete a Master if Research. Katharina has been investigating the idea of an ‘action-oriented workforce research culture’ is to engage nurses and midwives in research around workforce issues. While this approach is common in clinical research, little attention has been paid to engaging nurses and midwives in conducting workforce research. Policy efforts to address the continuing challenges of workforce shortages and high levels of staff turnover may benefit from the involvement of nurses and midwives themselves in both formulating ‘the problems’ and suggesting responses to them. Hoping to hear from you soon.
